2026 Fast-Track Innovation Programme at MediaCity UK

AN OPPORTUNUTY TO INFORM AND SHAPE THE SECTOR FOR MUSICIANS, MUSIC CREATIVES AND ORGANISATIONS IN GREATER MANCHESTER SPORT × MUSIC × TECH ACCELERATOR 2026 Fast-Track Innovation Programme at MediaCity UK

A short series of workshops and discussions will take place this March in MediaCity UK. A bold new 8-week, engagement-led accelerator is launching to connect the Sport, Music, and Technology sectors across Greater Manchester.

MiTIH — Media City Immersive Technology Innovation Hub led by Mario Dubois is launching an engagement led fast track initiative connecting music, sport and technology sectors in the Greater Manchester area. We would like to hear from you about what your challenges are within your industry, fields you work in. In our first stages, we invite you to contact Mario Dubois, the programme lead to discuss what you would wish to advance your work and how you connect with collaborators, or you can send over a list of key points that you find challenging as an individual, or to your organisation. Let us know what support/advice, you would like need to better connect with audiences, fans, community, and stakeholders.

We will then workshop and focus these in the 4 hour workshops we are holding during March with the aim to enable collaborative innovation. We want to hear from you about how you wish to engage with tech and/or AI and also about the dilemmas it poses for you as a creative. These are the areas we are focusing on: • Immersive Technologies (XR / AR / VR) • Artificial Intelligence • Data-Driven Experiences • Community-Centric Digital Platforms

Rather than simply exploring ideas, the programme helps participants: Identify genuine industry challenges in this shifting sector offering the opportunity to develop and pilot concepts. Test feasibility and commercial viability. Build pathways toward funding and implementation and support. The core focus is on: opening up funding investment for musicians, music venues, music organisations Engagement Community Building New Revenue & IP Opportunities Future-ready digital experiences A core objective is to help participants create new Intellectual Property opportunities.

Session dates: 11th and 12th March 18th and 19th March 26th and 27th March. Venue: Media City Host building.
