Get Set Ready with Screen Skills

Set Ready Training Ltd in partnership with FilmFixer, and Screen Manchester, are delivering a free ScreenSkills Set Ready boot camp for those interested in entering the film and TV industry. The programme is aimed at new entrants aged 18+ and will include masterclasses, seminars and Q&As. The training will prepare new entrants for work placement roles as location marshals. After the course, all trainees will be offered short term daily contracts working as location marshals on TV drama and films shooting in Greater Manchester.

This is a great opportunity for new entrants to learn more about the film & TV industry, gain insight from industry professionals, network with other new entrants and develop knowledge about working as a freelance crew member. The boot camp will introduce you to how the industry works and what it is like to work on set.

Who it’s for

The programme is aimed at new entrants aged 18+ who are based in Greater Manchester

We are working to develop an inclusive workforce in film and television and strongly encourage applications from under-represented groups, particularly those from Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds or those who consider themselves disabled.
